Latin pop three Reik formed in Mexicali, Baja California, in 2003. After recording a demonstration that yielded the Mexican resistance clubhouse favorites "Levemente" and "Ahora sinfulness Ti," isaac Bashevis Singer Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas and guitar player Julio RamÃrez EguÃa invited support vocalist/guitarist Gilberto "Bibi" Marin Espinoza to conjoin the batting order in early 2004. After signing to Sony Music a few months by and by, Reik teamed with producers Abelardo Vasquez and Kiko Cibrian to begin wreak on their self-titled debut LP. The record album proved a phenomenon, generating three consecutive Mexican chart-toppers in "Yo Quisiera," "Que Vida la Mia," and "Noviembre sin Ti." All troika singles likewise crossed over to the U.S. Latin pop charts, and in mid-2005 Reik mounted a brief U.S. hitch; the three likewise received a Latin Grammy nominating address in the Best New Artist category.

The View recruit Babyshambles and Paolo Nutini for album
The View's second album is set to feature guest appearances from Paolo Nutini and Babyshambles' Drew McConnell.
The Daily Star revealed that singer/songwriter Nutinihas been hooking up with the Dundee band as they work on their follow up to their 2007 debut LP, 'Hats Off To The Buskers'.
Meanwhile McConnell has told NME.COM that he has played double bass on the record.
The View previewed songs set for the album at the recent Love Music Hate Racism concert co-organised by their pal McConnell in London's Victoria Park.
The band are yet to set a release date for the album, though it is anticipated it will be out in late 2008/early 2009.
